Regretfully, we have decided to cancel Carolina Fear Fest for 2020. Our team had hoped that our reschedule to July would be enough time to hold the event safely, however, there does not appear to be a way to do so and stay within local guidelines for gatherings. Every attempt was explored to keep the event running including modifying the scope of the event and rescheduling a second time. As so many other events have been rescheduled to later in the year, there are few options available and public health policies may still prohibit a full event.
In order to meet community standards for social media, we give you the following: ?@!$ all of $@*%&! 2020 can $#% my $#!*@% (feel free to insert your swear words of choice, we’ve used every combination already).
Our focus is now on 2021. Dates have been secured for next year, Memorial Day Weekend May 28-30th.
All of our cool ideas and fun plans are being carried over to next year and we are very excited to continue planning! Our 2020 guest line up will be contacted soon to discuss their availability for the 2021 dates. We will begin announcements again starting in the fall.
Your tickets, vendor spaces, applications, films, etc will roll over to the new 2021 dates.
If you would prefer to cancel your ticket and receive a refund, we totally understand. We do not expect pricing changes for 2021 Tickets or Vendor Spaces, nor are we, at this point, worried about running out of space .
If you would like to cancel your ticket, please email your request to info@carolinafearfest.com by June 1st.
We will begin issuing refunds as quickly as we can, please patient with us as we respond to emails. Please allow up to 14 days for the refund to be reflected with your bank.
Vendors should be on the lookout for an email from us soon with more information. Refunds for vendors will also begin as needed.
Please keep in mind that our vendors, artists and craftsmen have limited sales channels available and have been significantly affected by all the closures and cancellations. We will continue to try to highlight them on our media channels and here is a link to a post about more you can do to support them.
Needless to say, we’re all disappointed, upset, and burning with the caustic rage of a thousand suns. In the long run, we would rather safely get together next year than try to force a party in now. Stay safe horror fans. We love you all and miss you!
